rattan and mother of pearl serving trays are born from a deep respect for natural materials and traditional Vietnamese craftsmanship. Each tray begins with carefully selected mother of pearl, collected from riverbeds in Northern Vietnam. The shell is delicately cut, shaped, and laid by hand to form the smooth, iridescent base that defines every piece.

The raised edge is woven from sustainably harvested rattan, a fast-growing vine that thrives in the region’s tropical climate. Skilled artisans craft each tray by hand, shaping the frame and adding two side handles for easy, practical use. This process ensures that no two trays are exactly alike—each one carries the unique character of the materials and the maker.

I was lucky enough to attend a dinner and charity auction at Lamport Hall recently - one of the lovely auction prizes was kindly donated by Just Luv It. The charming wire duck was happily bid for and will grace the garden of the lucky new owners. Northamptonshire Search and Rescue were the nominated charity and their spokes people were incredibly grateful for the donation.
