This Christmas, wouldn’t it be wonderful to give a beautiful gift that’s also helping to protect the planet? Or Christmas gifts with a conscience that empower women, support education, and celebrate traditional craftsmanship?
A meaningful gift that’s just right for the recipient, and does all these incredible thigs as well, can sometimes feel very hard to find; but at Just Luv It, real meaning is what we’re all about! We know the power that buying from the right maker can have: it really can change lives, and it’s why we do what we do. We champion eco-friendly, ethical, handmade Christmas gifts that make a positive impact on both people and the planet. So read on to find out how you can do so much more than give a simple gift this Christmas…
It won’t surprise you to learn that many online retailers still prioritise profit over ethics, giving nothing back to the communities whose labour they rely on. But we want to be different with Just Luv It: we’re a social enterprise, and we care deeply about what we sell, how it’s made, and the lives your purchase touches. That’s why Howard and I really love what we do.
As proud members of the British Association of Fair Trade Suppliers (BAFTS), supporting ethical practices is at the heart of it all for us. Every item we choose to stock plays its part in supporting communities, giving women independence, helping children to attend school instead of working, and strengthening local economies. When you buy from us, you’re choosing Christmas gifts with a conscience – gifts that carry hope, dignity, and opportunity.
And we have even more to celebrate as 2025 draws to a close: we’re partnered with the Greener Earth Project, which means we’ve now planted 1,150 trees with the donations we’ve made with each sale, supporting reforestation, restoring natural habitats, and investing in a healthier planet for future generations.
So when you buy from us, you are doing good in so many different ways.
Inspired by the classic festive rhyme, here’s our Fair Trade twist – a joyful collection of Christmas gifts with a story, each one handmade and packed with meaning:
12 recycled aluminium bowls for food aplenty
10 glass baubles glistening wild and free
9 sari journals for garden cheer and memory
8 dragonfly ornaments dancing free
7 glass wind chimes singing by the sea
6 recycled cotton bird houses in harmony
5 recycled wire ducks a-quacking
4 seed ball tubes for a wildflower spree
3 sheep decorations for all to see
2 recycled wire birds gliding free
1 handcrafted glass bird feeder by the tree
Each one of these handmade treasures supports skilled artisans, preserves local traditions, and brings a sustainable income to families who otherwise might not have access to fair employment. When you choose ethical, handmade, eco-friendly Christmas gifts like these, you’re also supporting opportunities for people you will probably never meet. And we think that’s a brilliant gift to give as well.
Let’s take a closer look at one of our favourite handmade Christmas gifts this year: our beautiful Fair Trade sari-covered plain notebooks. Each part of them, from the materials to the conditions they’re made and sold in, embodies the values that are so important to us at Just Luv It.

These saris that these beautiful journals are made from begin their journey to you in Varanasi, one of India’s most spiritual cities and a renowned hub for exquisite sari weaving. The colourful sari fabric is carefully repurposed to create a unique cover for every notebook. No two are alike, making them perfectly unique Christmas presents.
The pages are of handmade khadda paper, produced entirely from recycled cotton leftovers from the Indian garment industry. Only unbleached cotton is used, ensuring and so the paper it makes is eco-friendly and acid-free. It’s produced by a charity in rural Rajasthan dedicated to improving women’s education and supporting their social independence.
The journals themselves are then put together created by a small family business in Rajasthan. They began with just three artisans, and has grown into a thriving Fair Trade workshop employing more than 35 skilled craftspeople, including home workers in nearby villages.
Fair Trade principles guide every step, from fair pay and safe working conditions to skill development and long-term support. The work means security and the power to shape their own futures.
Every item we sell at Just Luv It has a story like this behind it. We choose our products with real care for the people we’re benefiting, so whether you pick a recycled aluminium bowl, a handcrafted ornament, or a journal wrapped in the colours of Varanasi, you’ll know that your gift also gives hope, independence, sustainability, and change.
This Christmas, we’d love you to join us in choosing gifts that feel good, do good, and give back.
